New! NAIFA of the Heartland Scholarship - This is a one time $1000 scholarship for a senior who will be attending a 2 year or 4 year or Technical School next year. This is a very short application. They are located in the front office. Due date is April 15, 2018.

Crime Stoppers Scholarship - A $300 scholarship is being offered to high school seniors. Check your school email for the application and more details. 

Kansas Seed Industry Association - $1000 scholarship for senior who will be seeking a degree in agriculture. The application has been emailed to your school email address. 

County Clerk Scholarship - $500 scholarship. Check your school email, the application has been emailed to you. 

Dickinson AFA Scholarships - Seniors enrolling in an Ag program next fall. (2) $3200 scholarships will be given and an additional $1000 to sponsor the winner to attend the AFA Leaders Conference in Kansas City next November. Go to agfuture.org to apply. 

Men of Phi Kappa Theta - (3) scholarships will be given to incoming freshmen males who will be attending KSU in the fall. Membership in Phi Kappa Theta is not a requirement. The applications will be in the office. Due date is February 6th

Tri County Telephone (TCT) Scholarship - Please go to the following website for more information and to apply tctelco.net There are multiple scholarships with different due dates, please check the dates for each one. 

Delta Chi of KSU Scholarship - For freshmen males attending K-State in the fall. No requirement to join the fraternity. One scholarship is worth $500 and the second is worth $250. PEO Scholarship - This scholarship is open to any female senior student. The applications are in the office. Return the application to Mr. Pritchard by April 18th.

Rudd Foundation Scholarship - Awarded at Emporia State, Fort Hays, and Wichita State. It pays for all remaining tuition, books, and room for Pell Grant eligible students. Go to this website for more info and to apply www.RuddFoundation

Acadia Fraternity - This is for a male student who will be a freshman at KSU next fall. There is a $1000 scholarship and (2) $500 scholarships available. You DO NOT have to be a member of the fraternity. Information and the application can be found at https://www.facebook.com/KStateAcacia/

Ivy A. Monk Scholarship - $2000-$4000 and open to seniors in Dickinson, Ottawa, and Saline counties. Must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Go to https://www.scholarsapply.org/monk for more info and to apply. 

The Purpose Challenge Scholarship - (1)$25000 and (5)$5000 winners will be chosen. Please see the link for more info and to apply. PurposeChallenge

Pattroff and Karlin Law Firm$1,000.00 scholarship for any individuals who qualify.

To qualify for this scholarship:
  1. You must be a high school senior or college freshman from the United States. 
  2. You must have a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0.
  3. You must attach a student aid report showing income status of your household. 
  4. A transcript must be attached with counselor or school representative signature for application to be considered

Jordan L. Canfield Family Scholarship - (3) $20,000 scholarships will be offered to seniors who graduate from a high school in Dickinson County and are going to attend Washburn University. The scholarships will be $5000 per school year for 4 years. Please check your school email account for the application and more information. 

Dickinson County Democratic Party Scholarship - (5) $100 scholarships will be available with one going to a senior from each of the high schools in Dickinson County. Students, please check your school email for the application. 

Washburn University - The Glatt Scholarship is a $1000 renewable scholarship. More information can be found at washburn.edu/scholarships

Kelly Lynn Lutz Memorial Scholarship - This scholarship is for $2000 per year and renewable for up to 4 years. It was primarily for students who have lost a parent to cancer. Please use this link for more information and to apply. KLLMemorialScholarship

United Energy Workers Healthcare Scholarship - $1000 scholarship for a student going into the healthcare field. Please see this link for details and to apply. UEWHealthcare

The Wolgast Scholarship - $500 scholarship and $1500 "Training Package" to attend Summit Ministries in Manitou Springs, Colorado in the summer. You will also receive $200 for travel expenses to attend the training. Applicants must be active in their church and have a goal of serving Christ through their college and post-college years. Creative Patriotic Art Awards - Art contest for 9th through 12th graders. Top 5 national winners will be awarded $500 to $10,000. Deadline for the application and art submission is February 6, 2018. Please use this link for information and application. VFWauxillaryscholarships

The Margaret Van Horn Scholarship - The scholarship program is open to current Kansas High School, College, and/or Technical School students. Applicant must intend to continue his/her education in an education or business-related program. Applicant must be enrolled in a minimum of nine semester hours (at least half-time). Enrollment must be in an accredited post-secondary educational facility within the state of Kansas. The scholarship amount is $300. Students, please check your school email for the application and requirements.

Washburn University Leadership Institute - $500 to $2000 a year for up to 4 years. Must have a 3.0 GPA and an ACT score of at least a 24. Go to this link for more information washburn.edu/leadership I also emailed you some more info to your school email address. 

Hagan Scholarship Foundation - This is a need-based merit scholarship worth up to $40,000. Please use this link to view the criteria and to apply. www.hsfmo.org

ACT Student Champion Award - The ACT Student Champion Award recognizes one student in each state who is tenacious and persistent, no matter the challenge, and is prepared for life after high school with a goal in mind and plan in place. 

ACT Student Champions receive a $500 non-renewable scholarship, certificate, plaque, and state-level recognition. See the following criteria.

  • A student who has overcome challenges and can articulate education and career actions
  • Students must have a composite ACT score of a 22 on a single test date or a 3.0 or greater on a 4.0 scale
  • Preference will be given to underrepresented and/or first-generation college students.

Applications can be found at www.act.org/readinesschampions. Applications are due December 31, 2017, and champions will be notified on or before April 2, 2018.

KU Scholarship - The Hixson Opportunity Award helps Kansas students who are facing significant personal and financial challenges come to KU. Award recipients receive up to $21,000 for educational expenses ($5,250 per year for up to four years). Hixson Opportunity Awards are available to 10 incoming KU freshmen who are residents of the state of Kansas. The deadline to apply for the 2018-2019 school year is January 5, 2018.

Groth and Associates Scholarship

The Lawyers here at Groth & Associates are proud to offer a generous $1,000.00 scholarship for any individuals who qualify. To qualify for this scholarship:
  1. Must have a G.P.A. of 3.0+
  2. Fill out the form with your contact information
  3. Attach school transcript to verify enrollment or submit any document to help us know you are currently enrolled or have been accepted to a college or university in the United States.
  4. Attach a 500-word essay about difficulties or hardships you have had to personally overcome

Rural Voices Youth Contest - Write a short essay or make a short video based on this year's theme of "Rural Kansas...If I Were in Charge." The cash award is $850 and the deadline is November 15. More information and registration details can be found at www.ncrpc.org/ruralvoices

Injury Lawyers Scholarship - Offered by Schultz & Myers law firm. 

This scholarship is available for high school seniors and current college students nationwide who will be attending or currently attending a 4-year college/university or 2-year community college for the Fall of 2018.
Here are some notes about the scholarship:

  • Must have a minimum 2.5 GPA
  • One time award of $1,500
  • All applications must be submitted no later than 05/31/18
  • Scholarship specific to students who have been affected by a personal injury

Senior Advisor: Future of Assisted Living Scholarship - Three $2,000 scholarships available to students enrolled in an associate's degree, bachelor's degree or graduate level program at an accredited 2-year college or 4-year university. Each eligible student must submit a 500-750 word essay response to the question: How can your major of study improve the lives of seniors in assisted living facilities in your town? Deadline is December 31, 2017. Bethany College - Presidential Scholarship. For an application and more info see www.bethanylb.edu This is a competition on December 1, 2017 and February 17, 2018. The scholarship amount is 4 yr renewable full tuition. 

Wichita State University - Distinguished Scholarship Invitational. This competition is for a chance at (3) $60,000 scholarships that will be offered. You will have to make an account at the following link in order to apply. wichita.edu/scholarshipcompetitions

​Application is due by October 15, you must have a minimum ACT score of 27, have a GPA of at least 3.5 or be in the top 10% of your class.

Wichita State University - Wallace Invitational for Scholarships in Engineering (WISE). This is a scholarship competition on Friday November 17, 2017 at WSU. (10) $28,000 scholarships will be awarded to students to study engineering at WSU. Students can register from September 1 - November 1. See this link for more information.  www.wichita.edu/wise

Kansas Buffalo Association - This scholarship is for a high school senior or college freshman who is involved in raising buffalo or will be majoring in an agriculture field in college. Kansas Buffalo Association Applications are due October 15, 2017. See the website for an application. 

Prudential Spirit of Community Award - This award is for students who have done a high level of volunteer work. Winners will receive  an award of $1000, a silver medallion and an all expense paid trip to Washington D.C. with a parent/guardian in April. From those winners, 10 will be picked to receive a $5000 award and gold medallion. Please see this link for information and an application. Prudential Spirit Award Deadline is November 7, 2017
